When the assessment does not match the market.
Property tax is based on an assessed value. When that value is too high, you may be able to appeal it. We are building a service to make that review simple.
How appeals work
A short explainer.
Your assessment
Each year, the county assessor sets a value for your property. Your tax bill is based on it.
The review
We compare that value with the property's characteristics and market evidence to see if it is overstated.
The appeal
If there is a case, an appeal is filed with the county board within the filing window. Deadlines vary by county and state.
